Parents and students, take note! Nanyang Girls’ High School (NYGH) has quietly dropped three popular DSA talent areas for the 2026 DSA-Sec Exercise (for admission to Secondary 1 in 2027).

What’s Been Removed:

• ❌ Math Olympiad
• ❌ Science Olympiad
• ❌ Gymnastics

These talent areas, which were previously available pathways into NYGH, no longer appear on the school’s official 2026 DSA page.

What’s Still Available in 2026:

NYGH continues to offer DSA in the following talent areas:

• Academic & Leadership: Bilingualism, Service Leadership
• Aesthetics: Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Dance, Chinese Orchestra, Concert Band, Guzheng Ensemble, String Ensemble, Lion & Dragon Dance
• Sports: Badminton, Basketball, Netball, Softball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Wushu

What This Means for Your Child:

If your daughter was planning to apply via Math Olympiad, Science Olympiad, or Gymnastics, you’ll need to reconsider your DSA strategy. Consider exploring other schools that still offer these talent areas, or look into a different DSA pathway for NYGH.
