Terms & Conditions

Should a student be unable to attend a lesson for a particular week, his/her parent or guardian must inform the Centre at least 2 days in advance to reschedule for a make-up lesson for another day of the week, or to postpone the lesson to the next week. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the lesson, unless exceptional circumstances stand.

Parents / guardians who wish to prematurely withdraw their child from our programmes will be required to submit a Withdrawal Application form, which can be found at our here. Do note that only deposits and not lessons will be refunded, unless exceptional circumstances stand.

In light of maintaining a safe and purposeful learning environment, the Centre reserves its right to suspend a student in extreme cases, for instance for continuously displaying misconduct, disrupting lessons, or showing a propensity to cause physical, verbal or other forms of harm to other students or our staff.  Readmission of a student will be subject to the Centre’s discretion. 

In line with COVID-19 measures and guidelines, we will require parents / guardians to perform SafeEntry on behalf on their children as well as ensure that they are wearing a mask before they enter our premises. Students will be required to have their hands sanitized by our staff upon arrival and will be encouraged to observe good personal hygiene throughout their lessons.

Additionally, if your child is unexpectedly not feeling well and experiencing symptoms such as fever, dry cough and / or tiredness, we kindly request that you bring your child to see a doctor immediately. This is to ensure that our students and staff are well-protected and classes can continue in a safe environment. Classes can be rescheduled accordingly if such unforeseen circumstances take place suddenly.

A child is defined as a person under the age of 14 (Children and Young Persons Act).

As an organisation that carries out activities that frequently brings tutors into unsupervised contact with children, NK Education Pte Ltd is responsible for maintaining a safe learning environment for its students at all times. Every instructor, when given responsibility for the welfare of children, is obligated to ensure that they are treated with the highest standard of care.

NK Education Pte Ltd tutors are committed to ensuring that:

  1. The welfare of the child is paramount
  2. All reasonable steps are taken to protect children from harm, discrimination and demeaning treatment and to respect their rights, wishes and feelings
  3. They work in partnership with parents / guardians – which is essential for the protection of children

Furthermore, tutors have a strict duty not to:

  1. Enter into any social or other non-work related arrangements with students
  2. Engage in direct contact with students (e.g. via email or other electronic communication) without a parent’s / guardian’s awareness
  3. Subject any child to any form of harm or abuse (e.g. causing distress by shouting, calling derogatory names, do things of a personal nature for the person that they can do for themselves, etc.

All suspicions and allegations of breaching the guidelines in this policy will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately. Serious breaches may lead to dismissal or termination of any agreement with our employees and tutors.

This policy shall be reviewed regularly or whenever there is a major change in the organisation or in relevant legislation.
